Nexterra expands to United States
Oct. 15, 2010, Vancouver – Nexterra Systems Corp. is expanding its operations into the United States. It has appointed a new sales leadership team and opened offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Atlanta, Georgia. These steps are part of a company-wide expansion to support growing demand for Nexterra’s biomass gasification heat and power solutions in North America.

The new sales leadership team will be led by three regional vice-presidents of sales. Scott Layne is the new regional vice-president of sales for the U.S. North region, based in Philadelphia. Larry Bridger is the new regional vice-president of sales for the U.S. South region, based in Atlanta. Carl Dunaway, who has been with Nexterra since 2007, is now regional vice-president of sales for the U.S. West and Canada regions, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Phil Beaty, a co-founder of Nexterra, will continue to play an important role as vice-president of sales engineering, providing technical and engineering support to the regional sales teams.

“This announcement signals our commitment to building a strong foundation in these markets in order to better serve customers and partners,” says Jonathan Rhone, Nexterra’s president and CEO.
