Secure Power has received a purchase agreement from LG International Corp. to
provide it with biomass pellets commencing in 2012. The term of the purchase
agreement is for 10 years and will provide Biomass Secure Power with an
estimated annual gross income of $37,500,000. LG International is a large
conglomerate in South Korea. According to Biomass Secure Power’s website, the
company plans to produce 1 million tonnes/year of torrefied wood pellets from
up to four plants it is proposing to build in various locations in British
Columbia.
