UK schools ponder investing in biomass
Written by David Manly
Mar. 9, 2012, West Yorkshire, UK - Several schools in England could be installing biomass boilers by the end of this month.

According to an article in Biomass Power and Thermal, the fate of the £500,000 ($790,000) investment will be decided later this month by the regional council for the six biomass boilers in St. Mary’s Catholic Primary in Halifax; Beech Hill; Old Earth in Elland; West Vale; Ash Green; and St. Chad’s.

The boilers will use recycled woody biomass for fuel, and will earn more than £1.3 million over 20 years through the UK's Renewable Heat Incentive.
