Aug. 3, 2016 - Martin Engineering has introduced a technology that uses the kinetic energy from a moving conveyor belt to generate enough power to run a wide variety of electronic systems. The Martin Roll Gen System is a self-contained mini power station that allows operators to run electrical monitoring systems and safety mechanisms. Able to be retrofitted on existing idler support structures, operators are not required to maintain a special stock of conveyor rollers, as the generator can be employed on virtually any steel roller. The device is considered a first step toward eliminating power production obstacles, as conveyors move into the next generation of “smart systems” that are predicted to be more sustainable and autonomous.
June 17, 2016 – Martin Engineering has introduced a secondary cleaning system that removes nearly all of the carryback left on a belt, including adhesive materials and fines lodged in surface divots and valleys. The Martin WashboxT Cleaning System combines water spray and secondary cleaning blades in an enclosed and self-contained unit, draining residue safely away from the work area. Operators who have installed the system have drastically reduced dust and spillage from carryback, leading to a safer workplace and longer belt life with considerably less downtime.

April 2, 2015 - Martin Engineering’s Heavy Duty (HD), Medium Duty (MD) and Light Duty (LD) Impact Cradles feature a bed of steel angles lined by energy-absorbing impact bars with a top layer of low friction, ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) plastic.
March 25, 2015 - It’s easy not to see a common problem when you’re looking at your belt conveyor system every single day. But a quick visual inspection can mean the difference between a productive day and a costly day for your aggregate operation. It’s also helpful to know what to look for when you’re walking the line because, sometimes, small irregularities can end up causing big problems.
