Upcoming webinar on biomass air quality
Mar. 8, 2011 – The Biomass Thermal Energy Council is holding its fourth webinar: Biomass Air Quality: Measuring, Controlling, and Regulating Emissions. Pre-registration is required for the free webinar, which will take place on March 17, 2011, at 14:00 ET.

Across the United States, citizens and businesses have been asking and responding to complex questions on emissions from biomass energy applications: What is the carbon profile of biomass? How clean is biomass combustion? How will biomass be regulated? The webinar speakers will provide insight into these questions and more. Topics include: a review of the Environmental Protection Agency's new boiler MACT rules; a comparison of greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants from different biomass end uses; discussion of new studies and tools for calculating biomass emissions; and an exploration of pollution control technologies for biomass thermal technologies. A question and answer session with the speakers will follow.

Speakers
Jim Eddinger, Energy Strategies Group, Environmental Protection Agency
Carrie Lee, Staff Scientist, Stockholm Environment Institute
John Hinckley, Principle Consultant, Resource Systems Group
Moderator: Joseph Seymour, BTEC Program Coordinator for Policy and Government Affairs.

Advance registration is required: click here. You will need a computer, internet access, and at least one hour of your time. All registrants will have access to a live recording and copy of the presentation after the webinar.
