Beetle-kill biomass blaze near Denver

Dec. 15, 2014 - Fire crews were battling a three-alarm fire in Gypsum, Colorado this weekend, at a power plant that was built to burn beetle-kill wood. The power plant was built a year ago and is located about 200 kilometres from Denver.

The fire was reported at 4 am on Saturday morning. The cause of the fire is unknown at this point.
