Biomass burner slated for Squamish schools

Oct. 17, 2016 - School district officials for Howe Sound Secondary and Squamish Elementary in Squamish, B.C., hope a biomass burner project will help the schools reduce their natural gas usage and environmental footprint.

The school district has already purchased the boiler, container and distribution piping, and is waiting on approval for a pad to support the boiler container. The burner will use waste wood chips or pellets as fuel.
