Edmonton to spend $3.3 million on green power

Sept. 23, 2016 - Edmonton city council voted this week to spend $3.3 million over three years to purchase renewable electricity.

The funds are intended to encourage the production of wind, solar and biomass energy sources in Alberta, and to help the city meet its emissions reduction goal.
