Three injured in B.C. pellet plant fire

October 10, 2014, Burns Lake, B.C. – Three workers were taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a drying unit at the Pinnacle pellet plant near Burns Lake, B.C. Thursday morning.

taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a drying unit at the Pinnacle
pellet plant near Burns Lake, B.C. Thursday morning.

 

According to a report from the CBC, the fire broke out just
after 8:23a.m. PDT. By the time emergency responders arrived on the scene, the
fire had been extinguished by the pellet plant’s built-in suppression system.

Of the three workers injured in the fire, two were treated
for minor injuries in Prince George while the other was transferred to
Vancouver with more significant injuries.
