FutureMetrics updates co-firing dashboard

May 30, 2016 - FutureMetrics recently updated one of its most popular dashboards. It can now be used for estimating the increased cost of generation and the carbon emissions reductions from substituting wood pellets for coal in pulverized coal power plants to see a complete range of pellet blending ratios.
The ratios can now be adjusted for wood pellets to coal from 0% pellets (all coal) to 100% wood pellets.
You can also change many other key inputs to the model to experiment with different fuel costs, heat rates, capacity factors, types of coal, fuel energy values, and more.
The dashboard can be downloaded from the FutureMetrics website.
Look to the bottom left of the home page for the link to the dashboard.
