Apr. 27, 2010, Grande Prairie, AB – The revamped Northern Alberta Forestry and
Construction Show has added a two-day biomass workshop in conjunction with
FPInnovations. The fourth annual Bioenergy Conference will take place
May 11-12 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and will focus on how to make the conversion from forest biomass into bioenergy, biofuels, and bioproducts. It will provide
solutions for growing, procurement, handling, storage, transportation, and
conversion of biomass. It will give insight and background in proven and
emerging biomass conversion technologies, as well as more efficient techniques and
equipment to harvest, transport, and process or integrate feedstocks for industrial partners. Topics will include:
- Policy and regulations;
- Problems and solutions for implementing
bioenergy facilities; - Purpose-grown woody biomass;
- Practical advice on feedstock
procurement, storage, and transportation; - Emerging and existing bioenergy
developments in Alberta.
