Alberta outlines plan to move away from coal

Nov. 10, 2016 - The Alberta government has released some of the details of its plan to invest revenues from its carbon levy to encourage investment in renewable power.
The Renewable Electricity Program, announced Nov. 3, aims to add 5,000 megawatts of renewable electricity capacity by 2030 through auctions run by the Alberta Electric System Operator.
