Areva announces biopower project

Apr. 5, 2012 - Areva's Biomass Business Unit has received funding from KIC InnoEnergy to develop compact biomass power plants.
Apr. 5, 2012 – Areva's Biomass Business Unit has received funding from KIC InnoEnergy to develop compact biomass power plants.
According to an article in Biomass Power & Thermal, the project will utilize small-scale biomass resources and untapped opportunities in Europe, Asia and Latin America to produce 1 to 5 MW plants within the next two to three years.
"The company’s main objective
in the project," says the article, "is to optimize the plant cost for customers and reduce
construction time, while improving upstream technologies for multi-fuel
acceptance and higher availability."
