Quebec company developing insulation from lignin biopolymer

October 28, 2015 - Enerlab 2000 will receive an investment of $500,000 over four years to pursue the development of iso-lignin, a biopolymer based on lignin.
Making the announcement, Laurent Lessard, Minister of Forests, Wildlife and Parks, said the iso-lignin technology is unique in the world and may be able to replace fossil fuels in the production of insulation panels.
In all, $2.5 million will be invested in the project to commercialize this technology. Enerlab 2000, located in Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, specializes in polyurethane insulation systems.
