Air France-KLM flying weekly biofuel flights

October 22, 2014, Paris, France – Air France-KLM have announced that they will run weekly flights from Paris to Toulouse using biofuel.

announced that they will run weekly flights from Paris to Toulouse using
biofuel.

 

According to Bloomberg News, the flight will use a biofuel blend
of kerosene and clean fuel. The flights will be run as part of an effort to
raise awareness for the need of biofuel development in the airline industry.

The flights will run with a 10 per cent overall biofuel mix.
The flight will run using the biofuel until September of 2015.

 

Airlines are working towards a 50 per cent drop in emissions
from 2005 levels by the year 2050 in accordance with a pledge made by the
International Air Transport Association.
