EU debates phase out of palm oil in biofuels

April 3, 2017 - The European Commission is debating a report that calls for among other things the phase out of palm oil in biofuels by 2020 and the introduction of a single certification scheme for palm oil imported to the EU.
A report from the EU Reporter says the commission will vote tomorrow on the report, which aims to prevent deforestation caused by palm-oil production.
