GreenField secures $40 million investment

October 9, 2014, Chatham, Ont. – GreenField Specialty Alcohols Inc. will be in a stronger position to serve global markets thanks to a $40 million investment in its Chatham, Ont. production facility.

Alcohols Inc. will be in a stronger position to serve global markets thanks to
a $40 million investment in its Chatham, Ont. production facility.

 

According to a report from the Chatham Daily News, part of
the investment will be for upgrading the plant’s distribution systems for
serving global markets with high-purity alcohol.

The focus of the plant has changed in recent years, shifting
from the production of ethanol for commercial and residential vehicles to
alcohols for the pharmaceutical, medical, beverage and industrial markets.

 

The investment will also mean an increase in annual production
at the plant from the current 100 million litres per year to approximately 142
million litres a year.
