OFA seeks biofuel producer for Lambton County

December 30, 2013, Guelph, Ont. – The Ontario Federation of Agriculture is targeting Lambton County as a potential location for a new biofuel operation in the province.

December 30, 2013, Guelph, Ont. – The Ontario Federation of
Agriculture is targeting Lambton County as a potential location for a new
biofuel operation in the province.

According to a report from Blackburn News, the OFA is
currently looking for a company to build and operate a biofuel facility in the
county, located south of Lake Huron and east of the St. Clair River.

Federation vice-president Don McCabe suggests that the OFA
would like to see a plant built with the capacity to process 250,000 tonnes of
corn stalk per year for biofuel production.
