September 20, 2013, Toronto, ON – Donald Smith, the founder of
BioFuelNet and a Professor at McGill University, has been named to 2014 Clean
50.

The Clean 50 is a list of individuals from across Canada who
are providing the greatest contributions to sustainable development and clean
capitalism. The Delta Management Group, a company that specializes in finding
‘green collar’ individuals for business across the country, creates the list
annually.

Smith was recognized primarily for his work as the founder
of BioFuelNet, a network that works to bring together individuals from across
the Canadian advanced biofuels sector. Smith is also responsible for the lab
that created the microbial signal technologies, where he also trains graduate
students doing research in biofuel technologies.
