June 17, 2013, Ottawa - BIOTECanada and BioTalent Canada have signed an agreement so they can help Canada's bio-economy continue to grow.

Together, the organizations plan
to provide a solid foundation for the industry and the people who work within
it to continue to innovate, thrive and prosper.

The new alliance enables all
BIOTECanada's member's new services and access to BioTalent Canada's suite of
human resource products, including the country's only national, bilingual
biotechnology job board, "The PetriDishTM."

"Canada's long history of
biotech research and innovation has positioned it as a leader," said
Andrew Casey, president and CEO BIOTECanada. "Yet, Canada and its biotech
sector must continue to be as competitive as possible to successfully compete
for this global opportunity."

"The initial findings
of BioTalent Canada's up-coming 2013 labour market information report continue
to highlight the essential need for employers to draw in candidates with the
required skills for their company to succeed," says Rob Henderson, president of
BioTalent Canada. "It is critical companies are able to attract and retain talent
for the industry to thrive," he said.
