Dec. 8, 2017 - In 2013, the Town of Riverview, a suburb of Moncton, N.B., had a workspace problem. The town’s public works garage needed to be replaced with a larger, more functional workspace for the town’s Department of Engineering and Department of Public Works and Parks.

Oct. 10, 2017 - For many of the people who reside in the northwestern region of New Brunswick, the name Groupe Savoie is well known. In addition to being a major employer in the area, the specialty hardwood products manufacturer is very active within the communities it operates and runs Fondation Hector Savoie, a non-profit organization that assists low-income families throughout northwestern New Brunswick.

July 31, 2017 - The federal government recently announced that it is implementing a federal carbon tax starting at $10 per metric tonne of GHG emissions in 2018, which will increase by $10 per metric tonne every year until hitting the $50 per metric tonne mark in 2022.

June 15, 2017 - When Bluenose Academy, a Grade P-9 school in Lunenburg, N.S., was built seven years ago it was the greenest building in Atlantic Canada and achieved LEED Gold certification. One major factor that helped the three-storey building obtain its LEED Gold status was the decision to install a Viessmann Pyrot 540kW wood pellet-fuelled biomass hot water boiler as the school’s primary source of heat for fuelling the school’s hydronic heating system. Fast-forward to present day and that boiler is still offering golden returns to the school and its 500-plus students.
