Canadian Wood Pellet Heating Conference taking shape

December 4, 2013, Montreal, Que. – With just over two months until the Canadian Wood Pellet Heating Conference opens its doors in Montreal, organizers have released information about the preliminary agenda for the two-day conference.

December 4, 2013, Montreal, Que. – With just over two months
until the Canadian Wood Pellet Heating Conference opens its doors in Montreal,
organizers have released information about the preliminary agenda for the
two-day conference.

The conference, presented by QWEB and WPAC and co-located with the Montreal Wood Convention, will feature six industry sessions across two days that will discuss the most
important issues currently facing the wood pellet heating industry:

  • Canada’s pellet heating market
  • Strategies for market development
  • Standards
  • Wood pellet appliances
  • Logistics
  • Environment and Sustainability

Day one of the event will also feature a presentation from
Russ Taylor on International Wood Markets, an economic outlook from National
Bank of Canada Chief Economist Stéfane Marion and a discussion on how to
develop negotiation skills featuring Danec Conultants President Guy Cabana.
There will also be a keynote speech from Canadian Senator and former Montreal
Canadiens head coach Jacques Demers.

In addition to the seminars and presentations throughout the
two-day conference, the event will include an industry trade show and plenty of
opportunities to network with colleagues from throughout Canada’s wood pellet
heating sector.

The second annual Canadian Wood Pellet Heating Conference
will take place February 19-20 at The Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal,
Quebec.
