A $95,000 grant from the federal government will allow studies to continue into the feasibility of using cardboard pellets as an alternate heat source in the Canadian north.

Aurora Research Instittue and partner Delta Reach Enterprises will use the grant to explore not only the alternate heat source, but other recycling opportunities in the Beaufort Delta region.

The project has been in operation since 2017, involving the retrofit of an older building into the new Inuvik Pellet Mill.
