Apr. 9, 2010, Burlington, ON – Ontario is investing $4 million through the
Innovation Demonstration Fund to help Woodland Biofuels Inc. and its
partners build a groundbreaking demonstration plant that will produce cellulosic
ethanol from renewable wastes. The plant will use Woodland's patented
technology, which can produce sustainable fuels from virtually any type of
biomass, including wood waste and agricultural waste.

The
announcement was made by Ontario Minister Sophia Aggelonitis on the floor of
Zeton's construction facility in Burlington, Ontario. Zeton Inc., a
demonstration plant engineering and construction firm, is one of Woodland's
partners.

"Thanks
to Ontario's support we can build a plant that we anticipate will confirm our
ability to successfully produce ethanol from renewable waste with breakthrough
efficiency. We expect to be, by a significant margin, the lowest cost producer
of automotive fuel in North America," says Greg Nuttall, president and CEO
of Woodland.

The
plant is expected to be located at the Bioindustrial Innovation Centre in the
University of Western Ontario's Sarnia-Lambton Research Park.
