March 1, 2016 – B.C.’s Energy Minister has stated that clean power projects are not a high priority for federal infrastructure funds for the province.
According to an article in The Globe and Mail, Bill Bennett believes that the stagnant energy consumption in the province does not make green power a priority as compared to other forms of green infrastructure.
Instead, Bennett suggests that funding for rapid transit, electric car charging stations, and transmission capacity for selling power to Alberta would be of more importance for B.C.
