Feb. 23, 2012, Quebec – Last January 20, during a business trip to Peru, Ms. Sylvie Milette and Mr. Richard Ringuette, President and Director of Business Development respectively at the Trois-Rivières company Combustion Expert inc., forged a key partnership under which Tecnolog s.a., a South American company based in Lima, will manufacture certain Combustion Expert inc. products under license.

The Trois-Rivières company, which employs about 40 people, specializes in the manufacture of biomass combustion systems that generate energy for industrial, commercial and institutional users. In turn, Tecnolog s.a., the new manufacturing partner of Apin boilers, produces oil, natural gas and other fossil fuel boilers. Given the new industry focus on green energy, this firm chose Combustion Expert inc. over all other North American players in the field, to add biomass boilers to its product line.

This partnership will also give Combustion Expert inc. an opportunity to promote Quebec’s engineering expertise in biomass energy on the international stage while landing new contracts, creating new jobs in its engineering department, and thereby offsetting the current manufacturing sector downturn.

This business mission received financial support from the Government of Quebec through the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade (MDEIE).
