Deputy Minister Peterson to speak at WPAC

October 6, 2013, Vancouver - Fibre supply is a major growth issue for BC's pellet producers, and one that will be addressed head on at the 2013 Wood Pellet Association of Canada (WPAC) AGM next month.
As part of a panel on fibre availability, Dave Peterson, deputy minister of forests, lands, and resource operations will address the issue of access to raw materials for bioenergy production. It has been a hot topic of late as BC pellet producers watch producers in the southeast US expand into available export markets thanks to a more flexible fibre supply. See more on this issue here. The meeting occurs November 18-20 in downtown Vancouver, and will feature two full days of conference, preceded by a UBC Pellet Workshop, tour of the Fibreco pellet terminal and more. The event also includes an exhibit area with over 20 industry suppliers on hand to share their expertise.
