EU approves third Drax conversion to biomass
Dec. 19, 2016 - Drax is moving forward with a project to convert a third power plant unit in Britain to biomass from coal. The European Commission approved the project today.

Drax says it plans to convert its remaining three coal-fired units to biomass within the next three years if the government creates the right conditions.
