European aviation industry maps out plans to eliminate carbon emissions by 2050

The aviation industry in Europe has mapped out plans for the elimination of net carbon emissions by 2050.
Its commitment, however, will depend on the support of policy makers to amp up sustainable fuels and breakthrough technologies.
“We need the EU to deliver the policy and regulatory framework that will enable us to deliver net zero,” Olivier Jankovec, director general at airports’ organization ACI Europe, said.
