Flooding in B.C. cuts-off rail access to Port of Vancouver

Torrential rainfall on Monday this week resulted in floods and landslides, which led Canadian Pacific Rail and Canadian National Railway to shut rail routes to the Port of Vancouver.

According to the Vancouver Sun, the flooding also led to the closure of multiple highways, including all main routes to Vancouver.

These disruptions will have an impact on the supply chain. The railways expect it will take a few more days for their main lines to reopen.
