July 28, 2014, Bethel, Maine – Future Metrics has released a
new white paper that analyzes the cost and energy production of black pellets.

This white paper deconstructs the components of the benefits
and costs of black pellets.  It compares
torrefied pellets and steam exploded pellets with traditional white
pellets.

Rather than looking at the cost per tonne, the paper looks
at the cost per unit of energy produced for the end user. The utility buyers of
pellets of any color are buying energy.
