FutureMetrics discusses Clean Power Plan

February 18, 2016
By FutureMetrics

February 18, 2016 - FutureMetrics has released a new white paper titled, “Why opponents of the Clean Power Plan should change their minds.”

The white paper reviews the impacts of increased concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere and offers some thoughts on carbon policy.

The paper then discusses why the Clean Power Plan is, as it has coined in an earlier paper, a rational and pragmatic off-ramp towards a more decarbonized future. FutureMetrics show how co-firing wood pellets with coal is a low cost, easily deployable, dispatchable, and job creating solution for lowering carbon emissions for coal-fuelled power stations.

The paper explains why opponents of the Clean Power Plan should step back and reassess their opposition.
