FutureMetrics hires Kurt Malzer

FutureMetrics recently hired Kurt Malzer, a 25-year veteran in the wood products sector.

Malzer has worked in a variety of roles including engineering, marketing, sales, operations and senior management. His career in wood processing began in 1991 when he took over pulp mill production management for Sappi Corporation in Swaziland, South Africa. 

In 1994, he was hired by Fulghum Fibres, an Augusta, Georgia-based wood processor, to grow their business in various geographic areas including Latin America and Southeast Asia. He held increasingly senior positions and in 2013 became chief operating officer. Through his 21 year tenure with Fulghum, Kurt helped manage and grow Fulghum Fibres. 

Malzer is a recognized expert in woodyard and wood processing management and optimization. Kurt has a BS in chemical engineering and an MBA.

His expertise for optimizing the front-end fibre management and processing of pellet manufacturing plants, and Kurt’s extensive relationships internationally in the wood fibre sector, significantly enhance the FutureMetrics service offering.
