GNL Quebec gas pipeline presents more risks than benefits, says published report

A report published by the Bureau des Audiences Publiques sur l’Environnement (BAPE) suggests the GNL Quebec natural gas pipeline poses more risks than benefits.

Supporters of the project say gas energy is clean, but the report claims otherwise.

“We need to turn towards renewable energy, smart use of the territory, food security, eco-tourism – development in harmony with nature, not in opposition with it like this project threatens,” Greenpeace’s Patrick Bonin told APTN News.
