Creating a more diverse workforce is a critical challenge for forestry companies across Canada. Addressing this will require rethinking how we recruit, train, and retain employees, while fostering an industry culture that welcomes women and people of all backgrounds. This year, we align with the International Women’s Day 2025 theme, #AccelerateAction for gender equality, to drive these conversations forward.
On March 6, 2025, Canadian Forest Industries, Pulp & Paper Canada, Canadian Biomass, and Opérations Forestières et de Scierie will host the Women in Forestry Virtual Summit. This free, national event will bring together industry professionals for a meaningful discussion on gender and diversity in the forest sector.
Hundreds of forestry leaders and changemakers will come together to exchange ideas, share stories, and explore how inclusion drives innovation. With speakers from across Canada and French-English simultaneous interpretation available, the summit is designed to inspire real action and collaboration.
