New Energy Farms’ Thiessen murdered in Brazil

December 9th, 2013, Leamington, Ont. – The Canadian biomass industry is mourning the loss of one its business pioneers as Dean Thiessen, President of New Energy Farms, was shot and killed in Brazil on Saturday.

Canadian biomass industry is mourning the loss of one its business pioneers as
Dean Thiessen, President of New Energy Farms, was shot and killed in Brazil on
Saturday.

According to a report in the London Free Press, it appears
that Thiessen was the victim of a botched car-jacking. He was shot twice after
being ordered out of his vehicle by armed suspects.

The married father of four was in Brazil for agri-business
meetings as part of the global markets he had established through New Energy
Farms.
