Dec. 7, 2011 – A new map has been released showcasing the areas to obtain woody biomass in the UK, so that suppliers can take advantage of the new
Renewable Heating Initiative.

The United Kingdom's Carbon Trust, in association with the Forestry Commission’s Biomass Energy Centre, created the National Biofuel Supplier Database to help potential consumers identify suppliers of woody biomass. The map shows locations in the UK that can supply individuals/companies with logs, pellets, chips or briquettes.

A total of 384 suppliers are present on the map, and will continue to be added as they register.

The National Biofuel Supplier Database map can be viewed at: nbsd.carbontrust.co.uk/
