Biomass North Development Centre is leading a Canadian delegation of bioproduct innovators to World Bio Markets, held in Amsterdam April 1-3, 2019. The delegation will continue on to Stockholm, Sweden for a day of targeted B2B sessions followed by a day of site tours.

World Bio Markets 2019 focuses on “Commercializing the Bio-Based Value Chain.” The Canadian delegation of business leaders and innovators will seek to build and diversify their export markets and to establish strategic partnerships with global brands.

The Stockholm session will introduce the Canadian delegates to potential export partners in Sweden in a B2B session at the Canadian embassy on April 4, 2019. Site tours to innovation centres will wrap up the tour on April 5, 2019.

“We are eager to bring Canadian innovation to the global market. Our renowned forestry and mature agricultural sectors are pushing the envelope on product innovation, creating new bioproducts for a sustainable world,” said Dawn Lambe, Executive Director of Biomass North Development Centre.

“For a country with such vast forest and agricultural resources, widespread sector expertise, and a growing demand for new economic opportunities, we’re happy to see such interest from Canadian companies looking to embrace the emerging bioeconomy,” added Francis Gallo, Project Director with Biomass North Development Centre.
