Lake Babine Nation shelves biomass project after funding denied

Dec. 14, 2017 - A biomass district heating project at Lake Babine Nation in central B.C. is on hold after phase two of the project was denied federal grant funding.

Project manager Bernard Patrick told BC Local News the project has been shelved but they are looking into funding elsewhere. The project, which already completed phase one involving feasibility studies and training, was expected to be complete by the end of the year.
