U.S. biomass market report expands
Global energy price reporting agency Argus has expanded its existing coverage of U.S. biomass markets.

Nov. 20, 2009, Houston, Texas – Global energy price reporting agency Argus has expanded its existing coverage
of U.S. biomass markets. The new coverage includes assessments at domestic
delivery locations that reflect the increased trade in industrial wood pellets.
This additional coverage supplements existing Argus assessments of U.S. east
coast and west coast biomass export prices.

"We have a unique
opportunity to offer insight into the emerging U.S. biomass market by applying
our global coal, gas, power, oil, emissions, and freight expertise," says Adrian
Binks, Argus Media chairman and chief executive.

The new assessments complement existing insight for northwest Europe delivered and North American
export markets. The U.S. domestic market coverage includes seven new
assessments for domestic U.S. prices of industrial-grade wood pellets. U.S.
delivery locations include Portland, Maine; Camden, New Jersey; Wilmington, North
Carolina; Port Everglades, Florida; Mobile, Alabama; Chicago, Illinois; and
Seattle-Tacoma, Washington. These new assessments are available in Argus
Biomass Markets
, a weekly report
featuring international wood pellet markets, spot and forward price assessments,
and the latest biomass news.
