Renewable energy sources showing growth
Renewable energy sources are increasing, and the U.S. Energy Information Administration states that renewable energy sources provided 11.95% of domestic U.S. energy production, up from 10.85% in 2010.

Woody biomass prices continue to decline
Woody biomass prices in the United States, whether sawmill byproducts, forest residues or urban wood waste, have been sliding for the past three years, but are higher in most regions than they were five years ago, according to the North American Wood Fiber Review.

Renewable energy subsidies are increasing, says IEA
The International Energy Agency released its report on 2010 energy subsidies with a focus on fossil fuels, but does make note that renewable energy subsidies are increasing. Renewable energy subsidies were tallied at $66 billion, 10% higher than the previous year.
