Biomass fuel suppliers for Atikokan annouced

Viridis pushes back pellet production to 2013
Canadian pellet producer Viridis Energy has pushed back the start-up date for its 110,000 t/yr Scotia Atlantic wood pellet production plant in Nova Scotia until the U.K.'s revised renewable obligation (RO) subsidy scheme is implemented in April 2013, the company said.

Biofuel firm linked to fraud probe
The federal government will give $65 million in subsidies to a company that is set to become the biggest producer of biodiesel in the country, but which is linked to companies being investigated for a series of fraudulent shipments of American fuel to Europe, according to a report.
