July 23,
2010, Oconto Falls, WI – Expanding on its complete stump-to-chip equipment
lineup, Norco Equipment introduces a new six-wheel forwarder developed to
provide simple, durable, and effective performance. Part of Norco’s Puma brand
line, the new model 612 forwarder is a 12‑ton machine featuring excellent
transportability and serviceability. Powered by a 197-hp Volvo Tier III engine,
the 612 forwarder provides high fuel efficiency, reducing operating costs while
extending duty cycles.

Featuring
a proven four-speed powershift transmission, the 612 is quick and powerful in
transport mode. A high-flow load sensing hydraulic system ensures smooth and
responsive loader operation. These features work together to reduce forwarding
cycle times.

A Danfoss
Plus +1 electronic control system and plug ‘n’ play wiring system simplify
electrical troubleshooting and repair. Access panels and a tilting cab make
routine cleaning and maintenance quick and easy.

The Puma
brand line covers a complete family of forwarders, harvesters, firewood
processors, and attachments. Puma, combined with the Dynamic line of chippers,
grinders, and screening equipment, represents a versatile range of one-stop,
stump-to-chip solutions for forestry and bioenergy applications. Puma machinery
is manufactured in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, about 30 miles north of Green Bay.
