
Nova Scotia municipal dump overwhelmed by Fiona wood debris

A waste disposal facility in Sydney, N.S., is looking to get rid of thousands of tonnes of wood waste collected following post-tropical storm Fiona that barrelled through the region last fall.
Francis Campbell, solid waste manager for the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, told CBC News they collected roughly 20,000 to 25,000 tonnes of wood waste from the storm and have yet to find an end user.
