Nova Scotia Power generating 30 per cent of power from renewables

Nova Scotia Power has reported that 30 per cent of the electricity it produced in 2018 came from renewable sources, including biomass.

According to The Star, 18 per cent of the electricity came from wind turbines, nine per cent from hydroelectric and tidal turbines, and three per cent by burning biomass.

The utility aims to reduce carbon emissions by 58 per cent from 2005 levels by 2030, The Star reports.
