Ontario cancels green power projects

Sept. 28, 2016 - The Ontario government announced this week it is axing its second large renewable procurement plan due to an over supply of electricity and desire to save money.

The move is expected to save the province $3.8-billion, but will end about 1,000 MW of renewable energy projects that were expected in 2018.
