Orangeville council votes against biogas project

Oct. 25, 2016 - Councillors in Orangeville, Ont., voted against helping Petawawa Renewable Power Corporation build a wood-to-energy biogas plant in the community.

Some councillors cited air pollution as a concern, others the excess electricity production in the province and concerns about future closure of the biomass operation.
