Aug. 19, 2016 - Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa will be playing host to the first Scaling Up Conference, which aims to share knowledge about bioeconomy potential in Canada with industry, government and environmental groups.

The inaugural bioeconomy conference is taking place in November at the Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa.

Taking place Nov. 14-16, the conference will explore the opportunity for Canada to be at the innovative leading edge of the bio-based, low carbon economy.

For industry attendees, conference speakers and sessions will focus on site selection decision, how debt and equity can be raised, and what role venture capitalists, conventional lenders, and strategic investors can play.

Speakers will also touch on what Europe and the USA are doing to ensure their citizens derive maximum benefit from the bioeconomy opportunity, and what Canada needs to do to stay abreast.
