Canfor, Pinnacle and Tahtsa Group sign supply agreement

Aug. 3, 2017 - Tahtsa Group, owner of Corewood Sawmill in Houston, B.C., has signed a supply agreement with Canfor and Pinnacle Renewable Energy that will result in the production of wood products at every stage of the supply chain.

The agreement will see Canfor supply lower-grade lumber to Tahtsa’s Corewood Sawmill, which will then supply wood residuals to Pinnacle Renewable Energy’s wood pellet plants.

“The five year supply agreement with Canfor and the off-trade with Pinnacle’s pellet plant supports the new investment in Houston,” Tahtsa Group president and CEO Klaus Posselt told Houston Today. “Canfor and Pinnacle have been very fair and supportive.”
