Futuremetrics responds to WRI

Feb. 4, 2015 - The World Resources Institute (WRI) recently published a working paper entitled "Avoiding Bioenergy Competition for Food Crops and Land." In order to rebut some of the errors in the paper, FutureMetrics has released a new whitepaper.
“While we agree with some of the material, we strongly disagree with not only their perspective on the industrial wood pellet sector but also on their characterization of how that sector, according to them, causes a net negative impact on global carbon emissions,” Futuremetrics writes in a news release. “This white paper shows how WRI got it very wrong in their analysis and conclusions about pellets.”
